Elements of Academic Podcasting

by | Mar 10, 2021

I’m excited to be (virtually) heading to the Central European University to give a talk called Elements of Academic Podcasting for the Podcasting for Academia Workshop!

This is one of my favorite topics and I’m looking forward to sharing why academic podcasting has such radical potential to transform not only higher education but how we share and engage ideas more broadly.

I’ll be addressing choosing a genre for your show given your resources and audience, translating complex scholarly ideas across diverse audiences, and conducting great interviews, especially with folks who are not used to being interviewed.

Drawing on my 6 years producing Imagine Otherwise, the presentation aims to equip the next generation of academic podcasters with the guidance they need to produce awesome shows.
