Your Interdisciplinary Writing Superpower: A Workshop

by | Apr 26, 2018

I’m heading to Ann Arbor soon to lead an Ideas on Fire workshop at the 2018 International Conference of NextGen Korean Studies Scholars on your interdisciplinary superpower! (Bet you didn’t know you had one, right? You do.)

Writing and publishing interdisciplinary scholarship as a graduate student comes with a unique set of challenges. You’re trying to find time to write amidst a million other obligations, you’re writing for multiple audiences with different sets of expertise, and you’re often serving as a teaching assistant or instructor in courses that are far afield of your research area or dissertation topic.

But your interdisciplinary training can actually be your superpower. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to craft a writing routine that fits your real life, use your interdisciplinarity to write and teach a variety of subjects, and plan classroom activities to improve both your and your students’ writing.

Register for the conference to join us on May 12, 2018, 1:30–3:00 pm ET in Ann Arbor at the Nam Center for Korean Studies
