October 26–29, 2023, Baltimore, MD

You can check out our virtual conference hub, which has a bunch of resources for women’s, gender, and sexuality studies scholars. There are podcast playlists, book lists, and more.
This year’s conference theme is A Luta Continua/The Struggle Continues: Resistance, Resilience, Resurgence. As the organizers noted in their call for proposals, the slogan comes from a song by South African singer Miriam Makeba. While the song itself was “a celebration of the rallying cry that led to Mozambique’s independence from Portugal in 1975.” In addition, the theme captures, “the continuum of feminist resistance, past, present and future.” We can’t wait to learn about the work this theme has generated.
Got an interdisciplinary book you want some editing or indexing help with? You can schedule a free consult with IoF founder Cathy Hannabach to discuss your project and learn how our team of editors, indexers, researchers, and publishing consultants can help you out.
