Podcast Resources for International Podcast Day!

by | Sep 28, 2023

Happy International Podcast Day! Every September 30th fans, producers, hosts, and the broader podcasting community take some time out to celebrate this powerful medium. It’s a day to cheer on the shows we love and share podcast resources to help get more great shows out there.

Getting involved in the celebration is easy. You can use the hashtag #InternationalPodcastDay to join the conversation on social media and give a shout out to your favorite shows (Imagine Otherwise, for example?). You can also follow the hashtag to learn about new shows and genres.

If hashtags aren’t your thing, you can use the day to explore what’s out there or catch up on something you’ve been meaning to listen to.

Leaving a review on your favorite listening app is another fantastic way to participate. Reviews not only give the show a boost, they also help connect potential listeners.

If you’re interested in what goes on behind the mic, you can follow the links below for our favorite podcast resources. They’ll help you get started making your own academic podcast, using podcasts for teaching, and being a great guest on a show.

And of course, check out Imagine Otherwise, which features conversations that bridge art, activism, and academia to build more just futures. The episodes linked here reflect directly on the power of podcasting for social change.
