Pathways to a Diverse Faculty
University of California, Merced Graduate Division
Funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation
Ideas on Fire partnered with the University of California, Merced Graduate Division’s Pathways to a Diverse Faculty initiative to provide 2 years of editorial and publishing support for early-career scholars from underrepresented communities in the professoriate.
Pathways to a Diverse Faculty—an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation-funded program—aims to “create pathways to the professoriate for a diverse population of graduate students, support development and success among a diverse cohort of junior faculty, and develop an environment in which all faculty can thrive” [1]
Through developmental editing, copyediting, book indexing, and publishing consultation, we were proud to support the research of these faculty and help diversify and demystify the publishing pipeline.
